  1.                                                                                                             Preferences File

MiniCad+ will create a preferences file in your System folder the first time you use it.  If you are running under System 7.0 or above, the preferences file will quite naturally be put in the Preferences folder, nested within the System folder.  With System 6.x, the preferences file will just be placed in the System folder.

This preferences file is retained if you reinstall a upgrade to MiniCad+; this keeps you  from  having to reenter your serial number or all of your preferences after a maintence upgrade.  You have to physically throw the preferences file  in the Trash in order to remove it.  If you  are upgrading to MiniCad+ 4.0 from version 3.1, the preferences file will have to be updated with the new program's serial number.

  7. If, however, you are reinstalling MiniCad+ because of some problem you are encountering, it is best to discard the preferences file and let the reinstalled  MiniCad+ 4 create a new one.

  9. The following settings will be saved in this file:

  11.     •    your name and serial number
  12.     •  current font and size
  13.     •  thin lines - on or off
  14.     •  state of the tool, constrain and data palettes (position and opened/closed status)
  15.     •  snap to locus -  on or off
  16.     •  rounded rectangle defaults
  17.     •  click-click mode -  on or off
  18.     •  duplicate on top -  on or off
  19.     •  full screen cursor - on or off
  20.     •  show grid - on or off
  21.     •  print grid - on or off
  22.     •  SmartCursor - on or off
  23.     •  use floating datum  -  on or off
  24.     •  create double-line segments  - on or off
  25.     •  create double-line polygons - on or off
  26.     •  current rendering mode for each layer - on or off
  27.     •  value used in the "Wall Thickness..." dialog
  28.     •  line weights set for the line menu
  29.     •  all dimensioning options
  30.     •  custom constrain angle
  31.     •  pixel snap radius
  32.     •  conversion resolution
  33.     •  fill behind text - on or off
  34.     •  3D conversion resolution
